What Is the Global Restoration Institute?

The GRI is a nonprofit organization committed to promoting global interconnectivity and long-term peace. Through integrating innovative trauma-informed practices with conflict resolution and prevention methods, GRI addresses the underlying issues of global conflict. GRI focuses on strategic relationships in the public and private sector and civil society.

Our Vision: A Healed & Healing World

Global Restoration Institute (GRI) envisions a world with a deep capacity to heal the wounds of our past, restore fractured relationships of our present, and enable possible new futures to emerge.

Our Mission

We help leaders understand and transform the deep societal wounds that drive division, polarization, conflict, and war—fostering stronger relationships, healthier communities, and lasting pathways to peace.

Our Approach

Global Restoration Institute’s approach addresses the root causes of conflict: the legacy of unresolved historical wounds that perpetuate division, violence, and suffering in the world.

Through partnerships with organizations like the Folke Bernadotte Academy (FBA), GRI engages key stakeholders—political leaders, diplomats, the private sector, and civil society to embed trauma awareness into policy, leadership training, and mediation.
