GRI is gathering and analyzing best practices for dealing with collective trauma at scale to provide actionable advice to governments at the highest levels, including a country’s prime minister, as well as health, justice, education, commerce and trade, social, and defense ministries.

Coaching and Capacity Building

GRI coaches and trains officials, diplomats, private sector, and civil society leaders in trauma-integrative, systems-based conflict management and resolution. By equipping leaders with the tools to understand and address the root causes of conflict, GRI is fostering greater capacity in leaders to restore strategic societal relationships.

This work builds on past and current experience coaching and training officials and leaders all over the world:

Coaching and training private and public sector leaders and officials in negotiation, conflict management, leadership, and collaborative problem solving
Training facilitators and therapists to address and integrate collective trauma across regions
Designing and delivering a series of workshops and training sessions aimed at enhancing negotiation advisors and mediators to understand and integrate trauma awareness into negotiations and peace processes

Facilitating Key Interactions

GRI facilitates processes and conversations around relationships within and between nations. This builds on decades of experiences advising around and facilitating difficult conversations among and across groups of difference:

The conflict between Israelis and Palestinians
Wounds of the Holocaust, with Germans of Nazi descent as well as German and Israeli Jews
Complexities of polarization in Germany, resulting from former East vs. West divisiveness
Wounds around race in the United States
Wounds of colonialism
